Track Magic: The Gathering set completion and finish the sets you collect

Some Magic players collect by deck, some by color, some by artist. A lot of players collect by set — buy a box, draft a few times, hunt the missing cards on the secondary market until the binder page for that set is full. The hard part is keeping track of what's still missing. Sets run from ~250 cards (a standard expansion) to ~500 cards (a Commander product or a master set), and a paper checklist works for the first thirty cards before becoming the kind of thing that gets misplaced on a coffee table.

Pick a set — Foundations, Murders at Karlov Manor, Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth, Commander Masters, anything in the Scryfall catalog — and the tracker lists every printing in it, in collector-number order, with the number of copies you own against each one and a count of owned printings against the set total. Sets that ship with a linked sub-set (the Commander decks, the extended-art sheet) are grouped under their parent, and you can flatten the grouping when you only care about one sheet. Foils and non-foils are counted separately, so a printing you own only in foil still reads as missing in non-foil.

This is a Magic set checklist tool that updates itself. As you import new cards, the missing lists shrink. The set view itself is about your own collection. To find out who in your playgroup has the cards you are missing, copy the missing list and paste it into Bulk Search with your friends and groups switched on: it comes back split into what someone you searched can supply and what nobody has. That turns the set list into a trade target list — the cards you want most, from the people you already trade with.
